Perfectly Chocolate Chocolate Cake
Sue (Hershey's)
Sue (Hershey's)
I am not a big frosting lover, but I love this frosting. It tastes like fudge!
2 Cups sugar
1 3/4 Cup flour
3/4 cup Hershey's cocoa
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1 cup milk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup boiling water
"Perfectly Chocolate" Chocolate Frosting
1. Heat oven to 350*. Grease and flour two round baking pans. (Never works for me. I just use a 9 x 13 inch pan.)
2. Combine dry ingredients in lg bowl. Add eggs, milk, oil and vanilla. Beat on med. speed for 2 minutes. Stir in boiling water (batter will be thin). Pour into pan(s).
3. Bake 30 - 35 minutes. (Our cake always drops in the middle, but it is still the moistest most yummy cake ever!) Cool 10 minutes; remove from pans to wire racks. Cool completely. Frost with "Perfectly Chocolate" chocolate Frosting. 10 to 12 servings.
